About the Artist Miriam Welch

Coming from an extremely artistic family, I could not escape the urge to create. When I was a little girl, I was always making things – coloring, drawing, painting, etc. I wrote tons of poetry in my teens and into my twenties and still do from time to time.

But I must admit, many years have passed since I have used my creative sensibility. I put all of myself into being the best wife and mother I could be. Now that my daughter is eighteen, I am diving back into my creative being.

I have always believed that the creative mind is directly connected to the soul. In other words when you create something you are using the mind-soul connection.

This is what I believe is the essence of creativity.
